Couple's portrait session: My in-laws! - Jaclyn Paige Photography

Last month, Joshua and I met up with his parents in Atlanta to see a Cirque du Soleil show together.  We decided to take our camera equipment along in hopes of creating some nice portraits of his parents.  The hotel where we stayed had a great little courtyard outside, so we headed out for a few minutes and created several shots.  For Christmas, Mary and Curt gave these pictures as gifts to their kids and grandkids.  It was a lot of fun to work with family, and now we have treasured photos of them.  Joshua and I got in front of the camera for a couple quick pictures, too! --Jaclyn

Katie & Jonathan - Wedding at St. John Neumann Catholic Church - Jaclyn Paige Photography

Katie and Jonathan were married one week before Christmas at Saint John Neumann Catholic Church in Farragut.  (That explains why these pictures have been on the blog but I am just now writing about them...Merry Christmas everyone!)  A reception immediately followed at Saint Thomas Family Life Center in Lenoir City.  Joshua and I were thrilled to have such a beautiful place to work and great people to photograph!  It's amazing how special any wedding can be in any setting.  We've seen weddings with 200 people in a big church and others with 20 people in a cabin in the woods.  In these cases and every one in between, we are always struck by how privileged we are to be a part of a couple's most special day.  Katie and Jonathan's celebration was no exception.  Their traditional Catholic ceremony, marked by the Eucharist and prayer, was followed by a lively reception with cake smashing (Sandy's Cakes) and dancing to music provided by Pro Audio! --Jaclyn

Alexis - Children's Portraits - Jaclyn Paige Photography

Before Christmas, I had the chance to photograph this beautiful baby girl and her family.  She has the sweetest disposition and her smile is absolutely contagious.  You'd never know it from these shots, but on this particular afternoon, Alexis had not had the chance to take a nap.  She was fairly subdued but never cranky- and we sure got a workout capturing any smiles she would give us!  --Jaclyn
