Marchal Family Reunion - Jaclyn Paige Photography

We met the Marchal family at their cabin in Gatlinburg on a day much cooler than this recent heat wave, and we led them to one of our favorite spots to shoot in Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  They had come together from as far away as Florida and Michigan.  For some of the kids, it was their first time meeting each other, and for the proud grandparents, it was a chance to be with their whole crew at once.  It's such a great idea to capture stages in a family's history like this.  These pictures will not only be a treasure from a fun vacation in the mountains, they will serve as a piece of family history.  --Joshua

Rebecca and Hudson (plus one) - Maternity Session - Jaclyn Paige Photography

Rebecca and Hudson wanted to document the exciting experience of expecting, so we met them at Lakeshore Park for some maternity shots where they shared some tender moments daydreaming about their soon-to-arrive daughter.

Our blog is mostly filled with weddings, but we love creating images for families at every step of their journey.  It's as much a treat to be part of the celebration of a family's first child, as it is to capture images at their wedding or to celebrate their engagement with them.  Each moment is an important and unique part of their love story, and these moments remind us of important moments in our own families. --Joshua

Lauren & Todd's Wedding at the Bleak House - Jaclyn Paige Photography

Lauren and Todd were married at an intimate ceremony with family and friends.  We first caught up with Lauren and her bridesmaids early that morning at the Regency Salon inside the Marriot for hair and make up, then it was over to the Bleak House to catch up with the guys and take some group shots.  The house was beautifully arranged with flowers by Kelly Parman, and the impressive cake was created Rothchild Catering.

After the wedding, we explored the house and the grounds outside to create some beautiful images of their day.  We are always pleased when our couple's enjoy themselves, and during the photos with the Bride and Groom, Lauren expressed more than once, how much fun she was having.  That's one of our favorite times, too.  We always look forward to a few minutes away from the crowd to watch the newlyweds interact as we create keepsakes they will have for the rest of their lives.  Congratulations, you two. --Joshua

Senior Portrait Session Downtown - Jaclyn Paige Photography

In February, when his family was in Eastern Tennessee for their annual vacation to Great Smoky Mountain National Park, we spent the morning with DJ taking senior portraits in downtown Knoxville.  We had a lot of fun flinging cards in the wind, playing on the tracks, and drinking hot chocolate at Remedy (it was much cooler in February).

Today DJ is graduating from Brighton High School near Rochester, New York.  Way to go DJ!  We're proud of you! --Joshua

Evan & Alisha - Chattanooga Wedding at Patten Chapel - Jaclyn Paige Photography

We first met Alisha and Evan about a year and a half ago for their engagement session.  It didn't take long to realize what a great couple they are, so we were very excited when they asked us to cover their wedding in Chattanooga.  Individually both Evan and Alisha are sweet, kind, happy people, so together they make one of the neatest couples we've had the pleasure of working with.  Their wedding took place at the beautiful Patten Chapel at UT's Chattanooga campus.  From there, thanks to the crowds at the Riverbend Festival blocking the roads, they and all the guests (plus us and their awesome videographers from TruePix in Nashville) boarded a boat-- the Southern Bell-- for a ride up the river to their elegant reception at Pier 2Humphrey's Flowers provided some of the most vibrant, fresh, sweet-smelling bouquets and decorations I have ever seen (I have to admit, anytime I held Alisha's bouquet of white peonies for her, my nose was in them!) and they graced the aisle at the chapel as well as the tables at the reception in perfect style.  It was a perfect day for a wonderful couple and Joshua and I felt honored to be a part of it all!  --Jaclyn
