Ally and Jeff's Butterfly Gap Wedding - Jaclyn Paige Photography

Joshua and I have been looking forward to Ally and Jeff's wedding since we shot their engagement session last year.  These two are super fun, light-hearted, kind, easy-going, and fanatic about sports.  They decided to do a First Look moment before the ceremony so we could take care of all the formal and couple shots early in the day, allowing them to go straight to the reception after the ceremony.  This is such a great way to manage the "flow" of the day and it gives a couple more time together on a day that traditionally does not allow for many moments to themselves.  The first shot below was taken moments after Jeff saw his beautiful bride for the first time.  Butterfly Gap provides a lovely outdoor setting for weddings but also boasts some unique architecture for indoor events as well-- the curved walls of the reception hall can be rotated to transform the space into more of an open-air pavilion.  Cool!  Jeff was over the moon about his San Francisco Giants Stadium groom's cake, designed by Daisy Cake Company.  What an amazing creation!  The couple boogied and mingled and posed for the PicSpot before hopping in their car and embarking on their new life together as husband and wife.  Congratulations, Ally and Jeff!  --Jaclyn

Allie & Dan - Wedding at Shanghai Resort on Norris Lake - Jaclyn Paige Photography

I have to say, I had been looking forward to this wedding since I first met Allie and Dan last year.  They were both just so excited about their wedding day- and their excitement was contagious!  After a year of planning, all the blue and green details came together on the sunny docks of Shanghai Resort on Norris Lake.  After the ceremony Dan and Allie took a brief "cruise" around the docks, which provided a unique backdrop for their first portraits as husband and wife.  Their reception included a S'mores bar and lots of songs about being on the lake (Redneck Yacht Club was a big hit that night!) as well as heartfelt toasts and some serious cake-smashing.  Everyone we encountered throughout the day, most of all Allie and Dan, were so kind and friendly and fun that we left wishing they weren't all from Ohio so we could get to know them better!  --Jaclyn

Jamie & Terry - Holston Hills Country Club - Jaclyn Paige Photography

Last weekend Joshua and I had the opportunity to cover perhaps the biggest party we've ever been a part of!  After the wedding at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Jamie and Terry celebrated their union in style at Holston Hills Country Club with almost 300 family and friends.  With music and karaoke provided by Hal Kinney of Good Sounds Entertainment, along with their own voices and dance moves, Jamie's sisters from Delta Sigma Theta and Terry's brothers from Alpha Phi Alpha made it a night to remember!  We've never seen a dance floor so packed:  Jamie and Terry made sure their guests were prepared for the occasion and provided "dancing shoes" to replace otherwise treacherous high heels.  They also chose the PicSpot photo corner which gave them and their guests yet another way to let loose and enjoy the celebration (more fun pictures featured on our Facebook page).  Besides being a super-fun day, there were also sentimental moments marked with sweet tears like Jamie's walk down the aisle to her groom, the father-daughter dance, and toasts given by the maid of honor, best man, and father of the bride.  Danielle Elmore of Delicious Designs provided the beautiful cake and desserts, and Janna Fowler of All About Weddings made sure the day unfolded perfectly.  Congratulations, Jamie and Terry!  --Jaclyn
