Couple's portrait session: My in-laws! - Jaclyn Paige Photography

Last month, Joshua and I met up with his parents in Atlanta to see a Cirque du Soleil show together.  We decided to take our camera equipment along in hopes of creating some nice portraits of his parents.  The hotel where we stayed had a great little courtyard outside, so we headed out for a few minutes and created several shots.  For Christmas, Mary and Curt gave these pictures as gifts to their kids and grandkids.  It was a lot of fun to work with family, and now we have treasured photos of them.  Joshua and I got in front of the camera for a couple quick pictures, too! --Jaclyn

Katie & Jonathan - Wedding at St. John Neumann Catholic Church - Jaclyn Paige Photography

Katie and Jonathan were married one week before Christmas at Saint John Neumann Catholic Church in Farragut.  (That explains why these pictures have been on the blog but I am just now writing about them...Merry Christmas everyone!)  A reception immediately followed at Saint Thomas Family Life Center in Lenoir City.  Joshua and I were thrilled to have such a beautiful place to work and great people to photograph!  It's amazing how special any wedding can be in any setting.  We've seen weddings with 200 people in a big church and others with 20 people in a cabin in the woods.  In these cases and every one in between, we are always struck by how privileged we are to be a part of a couple's most special day.  Katie and Jonathan's celebration was no exception.  Their traditional Catholic ceremony, marked by the Eucharist and prayer, was followed by a lively reception with cake smashing (Sandy's Cakes) and dancing to music provided by Pro Audio! --Jaclyn

Alexis - Children's Portraits - Jaclyn Paige Photography

Before Christmas, I had the chance to photograph this beautiful baby girl and her family.  She has the sweetest disposition and her smile is absolutely contagious.  You'd never know it from these shots, but on this particular afternoon, Alexis had not had the chance to take a nap.  She was fairly subdued but never cranky- and we sure got a workout capturing any smiles she would give us!  --Jaclyn

Mary's Senior Portraits at Ijams Nature Center - Jaclyn Paige Photography

We met Mary and her mother at Ijams on a beautiful weekday afternoon.  Looking outside now, it's raining buckets, and I'm thinking how nice it was to be outside enjoying some of the last warm days of the season.  Of course, having good company is important for any nice afternoon, and Mary and her mom were alot of fun to be around.

Mary has a bright future in front of her.  She likes dance and music, and when Jaclyn and I got in the car we both said, "What a cool kid."  (Sorry, Mary.  We meant young adult.)  In all seriousness, we enjoyed our brief time getting to now these two unique ladies and look forward to working with them again if they can convince a certain mister someone that family pictures would be a fun activity.  Good luck! --Joshua

Evan & Alisha - Engagement Session on UT Campus - Jaclyn Paige Photography

I had the lucky opportunity to shoot Evan and Alisha's engagement session a few weeks ago at the UT campus.  They watched the weather carefully and actually chose to spread out their session over two days: one with summery weather, and another with autumn temperatures.  The two of them were so much fun to work with!  They were naturals in front of the camera and had tons of great ideas for different backgrounds and locations.  Just look at how affectionate and sweet they are!  I had only driven through campus on the same three roads before this shoot, so as we walked around, my eyes were opened to countless "photo ops" for future sessions!  I am so excited!  Thanks, Evan and Alisha, for making my job so enjoyable! --Jaclyn
