Lindsey & Brad - Wedding at The Stables in LaFollete - Jaclyn Paige Photography

I'm starting off this blog by posting a couple pictures from Lindsey and Brad's engagement session earlier this spring.  Aren't they cute?  After working with them for the afternoon I was super excited to capture their wedding day.  And what a gorgeous day it was!  We seem to have been stuck in a rainy weekend trend, but Lindsey and Brad were able to have their ceremony outdoors under a glorious sunny blue sky.  They started the day with their First Look.  Brad covered his eyes with a handkerchief while Lindsey walked toward him. When she reached him, she took off his blindfold and he was able to see her up close, all beautiful and bride-y, for the first time.  A First Look is a great way for a bride and groom to share some special time together before the ceremony, but still maintain the element of surprise that they would have experienced if they saw each other for the first time during the ceremony.  The bonus is that they get more time together on their wedding day, AND practically speaking, because we can usually get all their pictures done beforehand, they can enter the reception very soon after their ceremony and spend more time with their guests as well.  (Click on the First Look label at the bottom of this post to see other couples who made the same decision).  After an emotional and heart-felt ceremony, Brad and Lindsey celebrated with 250 friends and family before driving away in a sea of bubbles.  They chose The Stables in LaFollette for their ceremony and reception.  There's no website for this place, but this map will get you to their location.  It's such a unique and stylized venue indoors, with sweeping views and well-cared-for grounds outdoors. Joshua and I were honored and blessed to be a part of this special couple's special day.  Congrats, Honeycutts!  --Jaclyn

Miranda & Justin - Engagement Session in Downtown Knoxville - Jaclyn Paige Photography

We took these photographs of Miranda and Justin last fall, and in just a few days, they will be married.  We can't wait to see them again!

Walking around the downtown area from Market square through World's Fair Park and finally arriving at the railroad tracks near campus provided a wide variety of environments to shoot in.  We enjoyed playing with an urban setting while they were dressed formally and moving to an area with more trees when they changed into a more casual look. --Joshua

Jamie and Terry - Engagement Session - Downtown Knoxville - Jaclyn Paige Photography

We met Jamie and Terry in Downtown Knoxville to shoot their engagements pictures a few months ago, and today we will be shooting their wedding.

The Old City is one of our favorite places to shoot.  The access to the colorful walls, interesting architecture, and active train lines let us do a lot of cool and fun things, and this shoot had elements of both.  Jamie and Terry are very affectionate and make each other laugh a lot.  As you can see from the top picture (and all the others), they also do "cool" very well, so they fit perfectly into the backdrop of the Old City. --Joshua

Sarah & Cody's Engagement Session - Norris Grist Mill - Jaclyn Paige Photography

Last weekend, Joshua and I met up with Sarah and Cody at the Grist Mill near Norris Dam for their engagement session.  We had a great afternoon checking out different spots around the water and in downtown Clinton and creating portraits of this fun-loving couple.  If the engagement session is any indication of how the wedding will be, we're looking forward to having a good time at the Museum of Appalachia in September!--Jaclyn

Paula & Brandon - Engagement Session Downtown Knoxville - Jaclyn Paige Photography

Paula and Brandon will be getting married next summer, and now that Jaclyn and I have spent some time with them, we can't wait till the wedding.  Not only are they fun people, they are great in front of the camera.  We met them in the Old City and then spent some time near Market Square.  Before we changed locations (and they changed clothes), Jaclyn got this great image of Paula's sweet ride.  --Joshua
