Sarah & Cody - Wedding at Museum of Appalachia - Jaclyn Paige Photography

Though the rain threatened on and off Saturday, Sarah and Cody's wedding turned out to be a perfect commemoration of their new marriage.  The picturesque surroundings of the Museum of Appalachia, the always beautiful flowers from Lisa Foster, Sarah's elegant gown from White Lace and Promises, and delicious cake from Magpies all contributed to a lovely day, but the best part was seeing two fun-loving families come together  to celebrate.  The warmth and love of those in attendance was incredible, and many of the attendees were more than happy to join in the party on the dance floor.  Patrick Michael Weddings kept people on the dance floor until the sun was well beyond the horizon.  Luckily, in spite of the weather, we captured some great photographs for them to remember their special day with, and Kay's Wedding and Event Videography recorded the day on video forever.

As a unique part of their ceremony, Sarah and Cody enacted Ecclesiastes 4:12 by braiding together a three-strand cord.  Two of the strands represented Sarah and Cody, and the third represented the role God will play in their relationship.  "A cord of three strands is not easily broken."  --Joshua

Sarah's Bridal Images - The Bleak House - Jaclyn Paige Photography

About a week before her wedding at the Museum of Appalachia, we met Sarah at the Bleak House on Kingston Pike for a bridal shoot.  Sarah looked so elegant in her dress from White Lace and Promises, and she was perfectly accented by the surroundings of the property.  As we walked the grounds with her, creating images and learning the history of the building, we got to share in the wedding-week excitement of Sarah and Cody's upcoming ceremony and reception. --Joshua

Sarah & Cody's Engagement Session - Norris Grist Mill - Jaclyn Paige Photography

Last weekend, Joshua and I met up with Sarah and Cody at the Grist Mill near Norris Dam for their engagement session.  We had a great afternoon checking out different spots around the water and in downtown Clinton and creating portraits of this fun-loving couple.  If the engagement session is any indication of how the wedding will be, we're looking forward to having a good time at the Museum of Appalachia in September!--Jaclyn
