Kristi and David - Crescent Bend Wedding - Jaclyn Paige Photography

Kristi and David are some of the kindest people we have ever worked with.  They are so good together and make such a great couple!  It really was a privilege to work with them and capture their day at charming and historic Crescent Bend.  Suzanne Clayton got the girls' faces even more beautiful than they already were, and Tracy Davis from Salon Barnes and Barnes created their amazing hairstyles. Always in Bloom provided the gorgeous white bouquets and floral arrangements and All Occasion Catering served up delicious and colorful fare as well as the huge wedding cake.  Besides being beautiful people who are friendly and sweet together, David and Kristi also real troopers: their wedding day turned out to be one of the hottest, muggiest days this summer, but they still did their First Look outdoors and spent time in the heat to get some great shots. Then, when it rained on them after the ceremony, they remained in high spirits and danced the night away to the tunes provided by Drew Holloway of Ogle Entertainment.  As the evening continued, guests enjoyed a snack from Krystal and then gathered to send the new Mr. and Mrs. off through a tunnel of sparklers, and Kristi and David rode away in a 1959 Rolls Royce provided by Regal Carriages.  What a terrific day for a terrific couple!  Check out a few of our favorites from the day:

Leora and Joseph's Smoky Mountain Wedding - Jaclyn Paige Photography

Leora and Joseph were married in the midst of the Smoky Mountains, just outside a private cabin, with 19 family and friends in attendance.  Intimate weddings like theirs make us feel especially privileged to be a part of them- it's always cool to get to know a little bit about a couple and capture such an important day in their lives. Having been together for eleven years, Joseph and Leora are two peas in a pod, from their sense of humor (scroll down- you'll see what I mean!) to their faith and family closeness.  Chaplain Patterson officiated their emotional ceremony, and between his words and Leora and Josephs' own vows, I don't think there was a dry eye in the forest.  Even I got weepy.  Again.  I guess I get teared up a lot of weddings.  Anyway, everyone flew in from California for the event (well, except for the maid of honor, who picked up an amazing variety of wedding pies at The Pie Shop in Atlanta on her way up from Florida).  Until about an hour before the ceremony, it had rained all day, but thankfully the heavens dried up just in time to allow Joseph and Leora the outdoor ceremony they had planned.  Leora and the ladies in the wedding party were made even more beautiful than they already are by Southern Belle Beauty; the impressive array of barbecue goodness was provided by Hickory Cabin Seasoning Company; and The Pour Guys kept the drinks flowing.  With everyone staying in one place at the end of the night, there was no need for a big "exit" that a lot of couples like to do.  We were able to put the sparklers to good use anyway and got some really great shots to end the evening.  Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Carrillo!  --Jaclyn
